JOY HEWITT is a native Californian, born and raised in San Bernardino. She has danced her way across America and many other countries in Europe. Joy studied at the London College of Dance and Drama and holds a Elementary teaching certificate in Ballet, Tap and Modern Stage with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, London, England. She spent 6 years in France teaching for Rosella Hightower, Centre de Danse in Cannes. Joy has owned & directed dance schoolS in Burbank & Mission Viejo. Joy has choreographed for film, TV, night club, stage and musical theater both in the US and Europe. She has taught at Loyola Marymount University, Chapman University, UC Long Beach, UCLA, and is currently teaching at Santa Monica College and lives in Torrance. | |
